What do Coloured Names Mean?

Most users' names are one colour, but there are some that are different colours to make them stand out. There are two reasons someone might have a special coloured name:

The staff have coloured names depending on their rank. The list of Forum Staff shows the full details of these colours.

OR

Other users who may have coloured names are the winners of any of the Forum Awards who receive a blue name for their month as the award holder and are then entitled to choose any colour to be their permanent username colour (excluding the exact colours used for the staff ranks).

Social Networking Links in Mini-profile

Most people use sites like Twitter and Facebook and MySpace these days, you can put these sites into your mini profile (the thing that is shown next to all your posts and PMs) for people to access. Like this:

(Note the shiny new Facebook icon next to the PM, e-mail and homepage ones underneath my avatar)

You can do this by adding your username(s) for each site to the new fields in your profile. Click the [image] button on the top menu, go to Modify Profile and find this section:

Add in the details for whichever sites you use and go down to the bottom of your profile and click Save Changes. The icons will now appear on the left of your profile.

Please note: this is NOT compatible with the old Facebook user id numbers, and you don't need to enter the URL with your username. For example if my Myspace URL is www.myspace.com/aldibibable then all I need to put into the Myspace field in my profile is aldibibable.

How do I remove a thread from the site

Users cannot delete threads, even if they created them. This is a feature of the forum software, not an option. The only exception is that you can delete a thread you started that has no other posts by deleting your first post. Once someone else has posted in your thread, you cannot remove it yourself.

If you want to have a thread you started removed you should PM a link to the thread and the reason for deletion to CFC Bot titled Thread Deletion Request. An administrator will then decide whether or not to delete the thread. If we believe the thread is of value to the forum we may choose to lock and/or archive it instead of removing it.
